Q. My Web site has been hosted and maintained by ADAidm. How long will my Web site stay active? A. ADA Business Enterprises Inc. (ADABEI) will provide hosting and maintenance support for your Web site until Nov. 7, 2009. You will need to make alternative arrangements for your Web site before this date. -------------------- Q. How do I get my domain name back? I have a new Web site hosting vendor and I need my domain name. A. We can arrange for your domain name to be released to you. The process takes approximately 7 – 10 days. You will need to provide us with your Customer Domain Name (URL) and your e-mail address and telephone number. Call us at 1-800-232-2308 or e-mail us at adabeicustomerservice@ada.org. The Treeline Group, a Web development firm assisting with this project, will then call you to gather appropriate information to release your domain name and assist you. You can expect them to call you within 1 business day. -------------------- Q. I can’t wait 7 – 10 days for my domain name. I need it now. My new Web site vendor is ready to go live. A. We can arrange for your domain name to be directed to your new Web site during the domain transfer process. This Web site (www.adaidm.com) will provide current information throughout the ADAidm wind-down process. -------------------- Q. Can you tell me who is hosting my Web site today for ADAidm? A. We can provide your name and contact information to the Treeline Group if you would like them to contact you regarding your Web site. Contact ADABEI at 1-800-232-2308 or adabeicustomerservice@ada.org. -------------------- Q. Do you recommend the Treeline Group? A. Neither the ADA nor ADABEI endorses the Treeline Group or any other Web site development or hosting vendor. We advise you to do your own research in selecting a new Web marketing company. Can you help me pick a new Web development company? A. At this time, we do not have any specific recommendations. What if there are no Web development companies in my state? A. Even if none of the Web marking companies endorsed by state dental societies is located in your state, the state dental societies listed in the State Endorsed Resources area on the Web site may be able to refer you to a vendor that provides services in your state. -------------------- Q. My Web site has been hosted and maintained by ADAidm, and I don’t want to move. What can I do? A. ADABEI will provide hosting and maintenance support for your Web site until Nov. 7, 2009. If you would like to keep your Web site active past that date, we can send your request to the hosting vendor, Treeline Group, and they can contact you regarding your request. The ADAidm Web site has a list of State Dental Societies that endorse Web marketing companies that you might consider including in your evaluation process. -------------------- Q. What happens if I haven’t chosen a new Web host by Nov. 7? Will my Web site go down? A. Yes. Treeline’s hosting services will end Nov. 7 unless you have made arrangements with Treeline to continue hosting your Web site. ADABEI encourages you to find a Web site host before Nov. 7. -------------------- Q. Even if my Web site is complete, can I still have my files and artwork? A. Yes. Please contact us at 1-800-232-2308 or e-mail us at adabeicustomerservice@ada.org before Nov. 7 to have your text files as well as artwork transferred to a CD and mailed to you. -------------------- |
